RANGELY I The Panther track team traveled south to test its track skills against larger schools in the Montrose Invitational, returning home with several place winners and personal bests.

RANGELY I For the second year after a several-year hiatus, Yeager Field in Rangely was the site for the Panther Invitational track meet Saturday, where the boys’ home team won the meet and the girls’ team, comprised of just five girls, finished second.

RANGELY I “Even though we are dealing with injuries and illnesses, the athletes who are healthy are really stepping it up, which makes me proud,” Panthers head track coach Stephanie Kahler said of her team’s performances over the weekend in Coal Ridge and Glenwood Springs.

Dual Panthers win events
RANGELY I For the second week in a row, Rangely senior Holly Lepro won the discus competition. The most recent win was in the Palisade meet, held at Stocker Stadium in Grand Junction against teams from larger schools.
Lepro sets records, wins discus
RANGELY I Lady Panther senior Holly Lepro broke the meet record and set a personal record in the discus throw, winning the gold medal in the event held March 30 in Cedaredge.

RBC Track season opens in Rifle
RBC I With basketball season just finished and snow still melting in Meeker and Rangely, students from both Rio Blanco County high schools started track season in Rifle last Saturday.
