Giant Step Preschool and the Early Education Center held its first Family Night of the year on Oct. 20 in the gymnasium at the EEC building. The two preschools were supported by Connections4Kids of Craig, Colorado. Children and caregivers were invited to “Chalk It Out” with craft tables, large rolls of paper taped to the floor and walls for a diverse writing experience, and free range to run about the gymnasium as their hearts desired. Creativity and positivity were highlights of the evening. Snacks were provided for a well balanced evening. The goal of family night is to encourage the importance of spending quality time together as a family and as a community to promote prosocial development skills and have a good time! Connections4Kids aims to support families and children 0-8 by connecting resources and services to support social, emotional and developmental needs. Quality early childhood services and nurturing environments are essential to a strong developmental foundation and the vision of Connections4Kids. The collaborative teams expect to hold more Family Night events in December and March.
