MEEKER | It is no surprise that the Meeker Cowboys volleyball team are at the state tournament this weekend. With back to back wins this weekend at home for Regionals, the Cowboys beat the Sargent Farmers in four matches and the Telluride Miners in three. Some key highlights from this weekends’ matches include, Haley Follman with the highest blocking number for the weekend, Emma Luce with 10 kills against Telluride and Kirsten Brown with 27 digs against Sargent.
The Cowboys go into the state tournament as the third seat for Class 2A in RPIs. They will have a bye in the first round of matches Thursday morning, and play the winners of the Yuma vs. Simla match Thursday night at 5 p.m. Going to state for the third year in a row is an incredible task and it couldn’t be done without great coaches and hard working players. Support the Cowboys by coming to the coliseum or by watching the matches on Maxpreps live. The schedule that is posted on Maxpreps is subject to change. Go Cowboys!
CHSAA will have live updating brackets here.
