One win away from qualifying, Colton finished his high school career with a fifth place finish.
Landon Carlson is another wrestler who had two tough matches. “Landon has the ability to wrestle with the best, I think it’s confidence that holds him back,” said coach Jeff LeBleu.
Kobey Chism advanced to the semifinals where he was injured and was unable to continue in the tournament. Chism was ranked No. 3 in the state. “Safety of our kids is our first priority, and pulling Kobey out of the tournament was one of the hardest things I have had to do,” coach LeBleu said. “We wish Kobey well, and for a speedy recovery.” Jaime Sanchez, boxer turned wrestler, is in his first year of wrestling. “Jaime works very hard in the room and is a very quick learner, we just wished we had him as a freshman,” LeBleu commented.
