The spirit of Christmas has been swirling around Rangely as snow falls and holiday parties occur. On Saturday, Dec. 10, good cheer and Christmas magic blew through Rangely as they do only in a small town. Celebrations were prepared by the Western Rio Blanco Metropolitan Recreation District including a pancake breakfast, a visit with Santa, gingerbread cookies, children showing off their latest developmental accomplishments, a concert with Vocalicity at the Jr. /Sr. High school, a festive parade down Main Street, and the evening’s traditional close with Santa lighting the tree in front of Town Hall. As the community gathered, the promise of Christmas joy was felt. | KATIE KING PHOTOS
