RANGELY I The unveiling of the new Colorado Northwestern Community College Spartan sculpture will take place at a ceremony on Tuesday and will be accompanied by the placement of a time capsule, designed to be opened in the year 2062, when the school will mark its centennial.
Tuesday’s event is the culmination of CNCC’s 50-year anniversary and will be held on the CNCC Rangely campus, sponsored by the CNCC Rangely Campus Student Government and the Rangely community.
According to CNCC executive assistant Becky Dubbert, who is also the college public information officer, the entire Rangely community is invited to attend the event as the campus is a large part of the community.
The event will be hosted by the CNCC student government officers, and CNCC President Russell George will be present to say a few words.
The specialized programs offered on the campus also will be represented at the event, Dubbert said.
