MEEKER I Pvt. Nick Cojocaru was graduated from BCT (Basic Combat Training) in Fort Leonardwood, Mo., and will remain there for his AIT (Advanced Individual Training). His wife, Tara, children Isaac and Brooke, and niece Cherokee Burnell, were able to attend his graduation. Nick is the son of Nicolae and Sofia Cojocaru of Moldova and the son-in-law of Terry and Betty Jo Oliver of Rozet, Wyo. Fuzz and Roberta Cook are Tara’s grandparents and Isaac’s, Brooke’s and Cherokee’s great grandparents, and Helen Ruth Oliver of Casper, Wyo.
VFW Post 5843 will have its annual Memorial Day Wreath Ceremony, Monday, May 28 at 10 a.m. at Circle Park Bridge in Meeker followed by a ceremony at Highland Cemetery.
