RBC | Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) is accepting membership applications for the Colorado Outdoor Partnership (CO-OP) and is seeking organizational/business/community leader representatives in the areas of outdoor recreation, wildlife/natural resources conservation and/or agriculture/working lands. Interested individuals are invited to fill out this membership application (https://bit.ly/4a2SpaS) no later than May 17, 2024.
The Colorado Outdoor Partnership convenes statewide leaders who are committed to collaborating on behalf of Colorado’s outdoors and a future where wildlife, land, waters and outdoor recreation opportunities thrive. Members represent a broad range of outdoor interests, including outdoor recreation, natural resources conservation, hunting, fishing, agriculture, stewardship, and local, state, tribal and federal land management.
The CO-OP adopts the Colorado Outdoor Principles and acknowledges that outdoor recreation and conservation should reflect, respect, and value the demographic and cultural diversity of our state. The CO-OP is a statewide cooperative supporting planning, policies and funding that will increase the capacity for conservation and responsible outdoor recreation in Colorado. Work includes serving as the statewide advisory body for the Colorado Outdoor Regional Partnerships Initiative and the Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan. Members serve four-year terms and may apply for subsequent terms.
Qualifications for CO-OP membership are:
• Serve in a community and/or organizational leadership capacity related to outdoor recreation, natural resources conservation and/or agricultural production,
• Be committed to advancing the CO-OP vision and purpose, collaborating across interest areas, and
• Be committed to participating in at least 4 meetings per year and supporting other CO-OP work as needed.
