RBC I The Rio Blanco County Commissioners met in Rangely on Sept. 15 in a short meeting where they were updated on two major upcoming projects. The first project involves the relocation of several landfill buildings.
The county is seeking to have two existing buildings at the landfill removed and a building currently located at the old Rangely landfill site relocated to the current landfill as well as an additional “lean-to” construction for storage. The county received two bids for the project, one of $163,202 and the other of $310,977.
The last project the commissioners were updated on was the expansion of county-wide broadband internet. The county has received bids from a total of 11 different companies. The county’s technology department is currently in the process of reviewing the plans and will report back to the board.
The commissioners will meet again next Tuesday, Sept. 22 in Meeker.
