Cannon test fire in Meeker this Friday, May 3, at 2 p.m.

MEEKER | Friday, May 3 from 2-2:30 p.m., the Town of Meeker is planning to have a cannon shot on Main Street between 5th and 6th streets. The block will be closed starting after lunch. At 2 p.m. there will be three shots fired from the cannon as a test run for the July 4th parade. Businesses nearby are advised to open their doors to allow for sound waves to travel and not concuss the windows.

ERBM 24th annual recital May 4

MEEKER | Join us for ERBM Recreation & Park District’s 24th annual recital May 4-5, 2024. Dancers, tumblers, and cheerleaders will perform their routines for the community. This is a free event. Full schedule in the Summer Activity Line-Up at erbmrec.com/activities. 

Meeker Library book club May 13

MEEKER | The Meeker Public Library book club is reading Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir. We will meet to discuss the book at the Meeker Public Library on Monday, May 13, at 1 p.m.  Extra copies are available for check out at the library if you would like to join in the fun. New members are always welcome!

MHS art show at Streamline Realty May 6-10

MEEKER | Art created by Meeker High School students will be on display for the public at Streamline Realty, 600 Main St., from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on May 6-10, 2024. 

Concerts coming to The TANK

RANGELY | Concerts at The TANK this summer:  May 9, Stanford CCRMA Composers, 8 p.m., free; May 18, CU Atlas B2 Resident, 8 p.m., free; May 25, Colorado Modular Synth Society, 8 p.m., free; June 10, Zara, 8 p.m., free; June 12, Rooster Blackspur — Davis Phinney Foundation Benefit. And more. 

Rec Center pool closures

MEEKER | Meeker Recreation Center is getting a little TLC in May! The pool will be closed May 6-27, and the entire facility will be closed May 17-27. Please plan accordingly. Summer hours resume Tuesday, May 28. 

Pioneers Association seeks new members

MEEKER | Please stay in touch by following the RBCPioneers.org website and on Facebook for developing details. This event is open to all interested community members. Please go to the website and fill out the survey to share your opinions and ideas. The RBCPA steering committee is seeking new members to help plan and bring new ideas to this long-standing community event.
