Christmasfest in Rangely

rangely | Celebrate WRB Rec and Park District’s annual Christmasfest activities in Rangely. The Christmas parade and downtown tree and courtyard lighting start at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 7; Christmas concert at the high school at 7 p.m. Dec. 8, and Breakfast with Santa, gingerbread decorating, Snowflake Baby contest, carriage rides and chili dinner on Dec. 9. MEEKER | The Meeker Community Choir will present “Winter’s Grace” by Joseph M. Martin, directed by Randy Adams, on Sunday, Dec. 10 at 2 p.m. at the White River Methodist Church. All are invited.

Meeker Library Book Club Dec. 11

MEEKER | The Meeker Public Library book club will be reading Mr. Dickens and His Carol by Samantha Silva. We will meet to enjoy treats, discuss the book and watch the movie at the Meeker Public Library on Monday, Dec. 11, at 1 p.m.  Extra copies are available for check out at the library if you would like to join in the fun. New members are always welcome!

Free legal clinic Dec. 13

MEEKER | A free legal clinic for parties who have no attorney will be hosted by the Meeker Public Library on Wednesday, Dec. 13 from 2-5 p.m. Volunteer attorneys will answer questions and explain the process and procedure for all areas of Colorado civil law, including family law, property law, probate law, collections, appeals, landlord-tenant law, small claims, veterans issues, and civil protection orders. Contact your Meeker Library at 970-878-5911 to be added to the sign-up sheet. All free. Space is limited. 

Community outreach meeting

RANGELY | Discussion about the Ride the Rockies event will be the agenda topic for a community outreach meeting Dec. 13 from 12-1 p.m. at the CNCC Johnson Banquet Room. Lunch will be provided. 

Historical Society quarterly meeting and Lyttle Project launch

MEEKER | The winter quarterly gathering of the Rio Blanco Historical Society will be held Sunday, Dec. 17 at 1 p.m. with a potluck lunch, museum tours, and the launch of the Lyttle Project to support the continuation of Meeker’s local newspaper for future generations.

It’s a Wonderful Life – LIVE! Dec. 16-17

MEEKER | The MHS Drama Club will present the American holiday classic, “It’s a Wonderful Life” on Saturday, Dec. 16 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 17 at 2 p.m. Admission is $5 per person.
