Free TANK concert July 29

RANGELY | The TANK is hosting a free concert Saturday, July 29 at 8 p.m. featuring New York-based composer/performer Andy Clausen presenting “Heart of Tones – Solo Trombone at The TANK.” 233 CR 46 in Rangely. Parking available across the street.


Upcoming .22 NRL Shoots at Meeker Sportsmans Club

MEEKER | The Meeker Sportsman’s Club, at 2553 Rio Blanco County Road 11 (Sulphur Creek), will be hosting a .22 NRL Shoot this coming Saturday July 29. Registration will begin at 9 a.m., shooting will start at 10 a.m., and the event will be wrapped up by 3 p.m.  There will be another .22 NRL Shoot on Saturday, Aug. 26, same times. Arrow head digitization

MEEKER | Coal Creek Research will be at the White River Museum on Aug. 7 to scan and document arrow heads and points to be placed in a online database for continued research and observation. If you have a private collection that you would like to have digitized, please feel free to call them at 303-588-2207 or drop by on the morning of the Aug. 7 to visit with them.

Upcoming free legal clinic

MEEKER | Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2023 from 2-5 p.m. A free legal clinic for parties who have no attorney.   Volunteer attorneys will answer questions and explain the process and procedure for all areas of Colorado civil law, including family law, property law, probate law, collections, appeals, landlord-tenant law, small claims, veterans issues and civil protection orders. Contact your Meeker Library at 970-878-5911 to be added to the sign-up sheet. All free. Space is limited.  


Meeker Christian Community Book Club group meeting at St. James

MEEKER | The Meeker Christian Community Book Club has selected “Love Wins” by Rob Bell as our next read. We will meet in about three weeks to discuss the first half of the book at St. James Episcopal Church. Details will be posted soon. If interested in joining this Christian reading group, and/or purchasing a copy, contact Dan Francis at 719-229-4135 or email [email protected]. Price of the hard copy book is $15. You can download onto your Kindle or iPad for $13. 


Free rifle sight-in event Aug. 19

MEEKER | The Meeker Sportsman’s Club, at 2553 Rio Blanco County Road 11 (Sulphur Creek), will be hosting a free Rifle Sight-in event on Saturday, Aug. 19 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.  Targets, rests, hearing protection and spotters will be provided. All you need to bring is your rifle and the correct ammunition. This event is open to non-members. For more information, call Scott Nielsen 970-756-9599.
