MEEKER | The Meeker Library book club book will be reading “The All-Girls Filling Station’s Last Reunion” by Fannie Flagg. We will discuss the book on Monday, July 10 at 1 p.m. All are welcome to join in the fun.
Free legal clinic
MEEKER | A free legal clinic for parties who have no attorney is set for Wednesday July 12, 2023, from 2-5 p.m. Volunteer attorneys will answer questions and explain the process and procedure for all areas of Colorado civil law, including family law, property law, probate law, collections, appeals, landlord-tenant law, small claims, veterans issues, and civil protection orders. Contact your Meeker Library at 970-878-5911 to be added to the sign-up sheet. Space is limited.
Historic Preservation Board meeting July 10
MEEKER | The RBC Historic Preservation Advisory Board will meet Monday, July 10, at 5 p.m. at the Heritage Center. Focus will be planning for History Colorado’s Certified Local Government workshop on July 25.
July concerts at The TANK
RANGELY | Sounds, songs, and space — that’s what John Gunther will explore in the TANK on July 15 at 8 p.m. He’ll perform an array of songs from early music, folk, spirituals, to jazz. John will be performing and looping on an array of instruments from the deep tones of a contrabass clarinet, to an array of flutes, saxophones, even a 10-foot overtone flute.
New York-based composer/performer Andy Clausen presents “Heart of Tones – Solo Trombone at The TANK” on July 29 at 8 p.m. New works are presented alongside existing repertoire spanning five centuries of musical history, from medieval chant, to shape-note hymns, to Ellington ballads, and sonic meditations from Pauline Oliveros. Expect the unexpected through an evening of lush brass tones in the luxurious resonance of The TANK.
