MEEKER | Piceance Mustangs will have their Range Improvement Day and barbecue on Saturday, May 20 beginning at 10 a.m. The public is invited and encouraged to attend. The range improvement day will consist of cleaning up the area and sealing the north Barcus water tank, so please bring fencing pliers, wire cutters, gloves and anything else you think will help. The barbecue will be held at the Yellow Creek Corrals and will begin around 1 p.m. Piceance Mustangs will provide the meat (burgers and hot dogs), drinks and paper products. Please bring a side dish to share. Range tours and wild horse viewing will happen after the barbecue. Directions to the Yellow Creek Corrals would be County Road 5 to County Road 20; continue on CR20 for about 35 miles until you get to County Road 122 where you’ll take a right for a few hundred feet to the drive to the corrals. Hope to see everyone there!
