Meeker Library book club May 13
MEEKER | The Meeker Public Library book club is reading Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir. We will meet to discuss the book at the Meeker Public Library on Monday, May 13, at 1 p.m. Extra copies are available for check out at the library if you would like to join in the fun. New members are always welcome!
MHS art show at Streamline Realty now through May 10
MEEKER | Art created by Meeker High School students will be on display for the public at Streamline Realty, 600 Main St., from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on May 6-10, 2024.

Rec Center pool closures
MEEKER | The pool will be closed May 6-27, and the entire facility will be closed May 17-27. Please plan accordingly. Summer hours resume Tuesday, May 28.

Trash Clean-Up Day May 18
MEEKER | The White River Alliance will be conducting their annual spring trash clean-up day. If you would like to help, please meet at the Lake Avery spillway parking area Saturday, May 18 at 9:30 a.m. We will split up to work at multiple sites, making our way down toward town to meet at noon at Circle Park. All help is welcome. Bring your gloves. Sandwiches and drinks will be provided for volunteers.
Community meeting at Buford School House on June 18
MEEKER | Save the date: June 18, 6 p.m. at the Buford School House for a community meeting, open to the public to discuss improving forest health in the White River National Forest and adjoining private properties. Contact the White River Conservation District for more information. 970-878-9838.
Pioneers Association seeks new members
MEEKER | The RBC Pioneers Association has set Aug. 10, 2024, for the 112th anniversary celebration. Community members are asked to save the date for this great event. Please stay in touch by following the RBCPioneers.org website and on Facebook for details. This event is open to all interested community members. Please visit the website and take the survey to share your opinions and ideas. The RBCPA Steering Committee is seeking new members to help plan and bring new ideas. Quilt raffle fundraiser June 15
MEEKER | Ellen Reichert donated a quilt made by Kathy Sizemore with squares created by the late Hazel Rosenlund. Purchase tickets at the White River Museum where the quilt is currently on display. The raffle will be held June 15 during the annual fish fry at Buford School House (winner need not be present). Raffle tickets are $10 each or three for $20. Fish fry from 4-6 p.m. June 15.
Old Time Country Dance June 15
MEEKER | Enjoy an old time country dance on Saturday, June 15 at the Buford School House. Music by the Cimarron Band, sponsored by Mark and Callie Scritchfield. Light snacks provided, bring your own bottle, 7-11 p.m. Donations accepted for Buford School House.
