Free community lunch Oct. 6 

MEEKER | St. James Episcopal United Methodist Church is hosting a free community lunch at 12 p.m. at Richards’ Hall (368 4th St.) in Meeker on Sunday, Oct. 6 Join us for pulled pork sandwiches, mac & cheese, coleslaw and desserts, all homemade. 

Rep. Meghan Lukens to visit Meeker Oct. 8

MEEKER | Meghan Lukens, our State House District 26 representative, will be in Meeker for a fundraiser and Meet and Greet, Tuesday, Oct. 8, from 4-6 p.m. She will be speaking at the home of a supporter at 40000 Hwy. 13. All are invited. As our representative, Meghan Lukens protects our special way of life. 

Walbridge Wing annual Craft Sale Oct. 11

MEEKER | The annual Walbridge Wing craft sale will be held in the board room at Pioneers Medical Center on Friday, Oct. 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Come buy embroidered tea towels, aprons, hanging towels, afghans, doilies,  scarves, hats… much more. All proceeds go to the Wing Activity Fund. 

Pumpkin, Eats N’ Treats downtown in Meeker on Oct. 31

MEEKER | Join ERBM to celebrate Halloween! Trick-or-treating begins at the Downtown Plaza at 4:30 p.m. Oct. 31, followed by a costume parade. Parade categories include three and under, 4-7 years, 8-11 years, 12+ years, family/group/duo and pets. Local businesses, please call 970-878-7421 to reserve your booth space!

LDS church to hold general conference

RBC |The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will hold its worldwide general conference on Oct. 5-6, 2024. The conference is open to anyone interested in learning more about the gospel of Jesus Christ. Sessions will be held at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday, with an additional session at 6 p.m. on Saturday. The meetings, broadcast from Salt Lake City, can be viewed live at LDS church buildings in Northwest Colorado. Speakers include President Russell M. Nelson, the church’s prophet, and members of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. The sessions will also stream live on the church’s website, www.churchofjesuschrist.org, and will be recorded for later viewing.
