Free Mental Health First Aid Certification Course Sept. 18
MEEKER | The Mental Health First Aid Certification Course, supported by the United Way of the Yampa Valley, is free and teaches participants to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental illness. The course provides an evidence-based intervention model for assisting individuals dealing with mental health or substance abuse issues. This course will be held at Mountain Valley Bank (400 Main St.) on Wednesday, Sept. 18 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For certification, participants must pre-register (call Tom Gangel at 970-819-2625 or email [email protected]), complete a 2-hour online webinar prior to Sept. 18, and attend the 6-hour training on Sept. 18.
