Historical Society quarterly meeting Sunday
MEEKER | The Rio Blanco County Historical Society’s second quarter membership meeting is Sunday, April 16 at 1 p.m. at the Heritage Culture Center, 517 Park, in Meeker. There will be a potluck taco bar (bring taco fixings or something else to share), a quilt raffle at 2 p.m. (tickets are $5 each or five for $20 and can be purchased at the museum) and a presentation by the Barone Middle School History Day competitors. All are welcome.
Clean up Meeker trail system with MAMBA April 29-30
MEEKER | All ages are welcome to volunteer as we celebrate Trails Day and prepare the Meeker trails for summer hiking and biking. Please join the Meeker Area Mountain Bike Association on Saturday, April 29 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and/or Sunday, April 30 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Ute Park trailhead on Hill Street. Afterward, we will meet at Smoking River Brewing Co. Please bring water, sunscreen, gloves and eye protection. ERBM and BLM will provide tools.

Clerk and Recorders office closure
MEEKER | The Meeker and Rangely Clerk and Recorder and Motor Vehicle offices will be closed May 3 and 4 for mandatory election training. Our offices will be open again on May 5 for regular business hours. Please plan ahead!
Next Meeker book club meeting May 8
MEEKER | The Meeker Library Book Club will be reading, “Wicked Western Slope: Mayhem, Mischief, and Murder in Colorado” by D. A. Brockett. We will discuss the book on Monday, May 8 at 1 p.m. All are welcome to join in the fun.
Pioneers Association to host Country Barn Dance June 3
RBC | Everybody in RBC: Lasso your favorite guy or gal and come dance your boots off to Dave Main & Friends. The RBC Pioneers “A Country Barn Dance” will be on Saturday, June 3 at the Fairfield Center. Registration forms are now online at rbcpioneers.org or at the Meeker and Rangely Chambers of Commerce and the Rangely Library. Hope to see you at the event!
