Photo exhibit at Cultural Center Dec. 9
MEEKER | The Rio Blanco County Heritage Cultural Center is currently hosting a photographic exhibition entitled “Mediterranean Reflections: Images from Italy, Greece and Turkey” taken during April and May this year by Rio Blanco County resident Gary Oba. Anyone who is interested is invited to drop by the Heritage Cultural Center on Dec. 9 between 6-8 p.m. to visit with Gary and his wife, Debra, who combined a week-long bike ride from Florence to Rome with a side trip to northern Italy, a 9-day Greek island cruise, and a four-day stopover in Istanbul as part of their extended honeymoon. Access to the exhibit can be arranged at other times by contacting the White River Museum staff.

Christmas Bazaar in Rangely Dec. 10
RANGELY | Mark your calendar for Christmas shopping at the Rangely Bazaar/Craft Fair on Saturday, Dec. 10 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 402 W. Main St. (EEC Building). Planning Advisory Committee meeting
MEEKER | The Planning Advisory Committee (PAC) will be meeting on Monday, Dec. 12 at 6:00 p.m. in Rangely at the CNCC Weiss Conference Room (500 Kennedy Drive). The PAC will hear updates on the projects generated by the Diversion and Riparian Assessments, a presentation on hydrological modeling, and updates on the progress of the Phase III planning.
Library book club
MEEKER | The book club will be reading “Lessons in Chemistry” by Bonnie Garmus. We will discuss the book on Monday, Dec. 12 at 1 p.m. All are welcome to join in the fun.
Work session to discuss Fairfield Apartments
MEEKER | The public is invited to a special work session with the Rio Blanco County Commissioners to discuss the future of the Fairfield Apartments in Meeker. There are various options currently available, but the commissioners would like everyone’s input to determine the best path forward. The meeting will be held on Dec. 13, 2022, at 1 p.m., at the Rio Blanco County Courthouse at 555 Main St. in the commissioners hearing room on the third floor.
