Lord of the Rings escape room

MEEKER | The Library is hosting a Lord of the Rings themed escape room starting March 20-31. Please stop in or call us at 878-5911 to sign up!

Community dinners update

MEEKER | The community dinners will now be held at Elbert’s Hall, United Methodist Church, 809 Park Ave., Meeker. Handicap entrance in the back of hall. The dinners will still be held on the 3rd Thursday of the month from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Any organization wishing to host a monthly dinner may contact Vicki Crawford at 970-756-5023 or Ellene Meece at 303-250-8353.

LDS conference April 1-2

MEEKER | The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will hold a general conference on the April 1-2, 2023. The conference is open to anyone who would like to know more about the gospel of Jesus Christ. Meetings will be held at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday with an additional session at 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 1. They are broadcast from Salt Lake City and can be watched live from all LDS church buildings in the Northwest Colorado area, including the Meeker chapel at 903 Third St. and the Rangely chapel at 125 Eagle Crest St. Speakers will include the Prophet of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, President Russell M. Nelson, as well as members of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, and other worldwide leaders of the church. Meetings will also be accessible on the church website at www.churchofjesuschrist.org in real time and are being recorded for later viewing.

Fairfield grant applications due April 3

MEEKER | Since April 1, 2023, falls on a Saturday, the deadline for Freeman E. Fairfield semi-annual grant applications will be 5 p.m. Monday, April 3, 2023. Applications may be mailed to P.O. Box 2302, Meeker CO 81641 or delivered to Diane Dunham, 438 E Market. Mailed applications must be received, not postmarked April 3, 2023.

Enjoy the Spring Social April 6

MEEKER | Seniors, ring in spring with the annual Spring Social Thursday, April 6 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m! Indulge in lunch, refreshments, conversation, and fun entertainment at a new, earlier time. Register at erbmrec.com/register or in-person at the Meeker Recreation Center. Registration deadline March 27.

Library book club April 10

MEEKER | The Meeker Library book club book will be reading “Everyone in this Room will Someday be Dead” by Emily Austen. We will discuss the book on Monday, April 10 at 1 p.m. All are welcome to join in the fun.
