RBC I The next Community Networking Group meeting will be held Tuesday from noon to 2 p.m. in the Weiss Conference Room on the campus of Colorado Northwestern Community College with Colorado State Rep. Bob Rankin as guest speaker.
The public is welcome as Rankin will speak about current Colorado-related issues including “the effect of 2013 legislation on the West Slope.” He will also answer questions from those in attendance.
Pizza will be served to attendees.
CNCC President Russell George and CNCC board chair Peggy Rector will host the event. Besides Rankin, those expected to speak are Rangely District Hospital CEO Nick Goshe, Western Rio Blanco Recreation District administrator Tim Webber, Rangely Schools superintendent Todd Cordrey, Rangely Town Manager Peter Brixius, Rangely Mayor Frank Huitt, the Rio Blanco County commissioners and Henry Hames, president of the Rangely Chamber of Commerce.
Also speaking are Bob McFerron, the human resources manager at Blue Mountain Energy (Deserado Coal Mine), Rangely Junior College District chairman Teri Wilczek, Dan Eddy of the Rio Blanco Water Conservation District, Moon Lake Electric Board Chairman Brad Casto, Don Bramer, owner of the Blue Mountain Inn and Suites and Dave Kavanagh of EAGLE-Net.
RSVPs are requested by Friday at 5 p.m. due to the large crowd expected. Giovanni’s will be providing the pizzas, salads and desserts for the meeting.
The next meeting of the Community Networking Group will be Aug. 27 from noon to 2 p.m., also in the Weiss Conference Room at CNCC. Lunch will again be served, but the guest speaker has yet to be determined.
