Conrado Family Fund donates $30K to food banks in Meeker, Craig and Rifle

Press Release

RBC | Responding to rising need and dwindling funding for local food assistance programs, the Conrado family of Meeker has donated a total of $30,000 to food banks serving Meeker, Rifle and Craig.

Owners of MSG Ready Mix and Meeker Sand & Gravel, the Conrados made the contribution after learning of increased demand across the region. The funds will support the Meeker Community Food Bank, Lift-Up in Rifle, and Love INC of the Yampa Valley in Craig.

“When we heard about the demand on these food banks right now, it was an easy decision,” said Katie Conrado. “These organizations work tirelessly to feed our communities. We’re really proud to be able to offer this kind of assistance to the communities we serve, and we hope it will make a big impact.”

The donation was made through the Conrado Family Fund, a donor-advised fund administered by the Western Colorado Community Foundation. The foundation manages charitable funds, supports community-based philanthropy, and provides grants and scholarships throughout western Colorado.

MSG Ready Mix, founded in 1980 by Joe and Kelly Conrado, has supplied concrete and aggregate products across Northwest Colorado for 45 years, with plants in Meeker, Rangely, Craig and, most recently, Rifle. The business is now operated by the second and third generations of the Conrado family.

The Conrado Family Fund is a donor-advised fund administered by the Western Colorado Community Foundation.
