RBC | The Rio Blanco County Department of Public Health and Environment is now assisting folks interested in not smoking by scheduling appointments for auricular therapy. In this procedure, a mild electronic stimulation is administered to the outside of both ears. It is provided by D.C. Stop Smoking, a small business out of Grand Junction. This procedure uses a mild electronic stimulation, similar to ear acupuncture, but no needles are involved. The procedure makes a person feel like they don’t need nicotine. Simple and effective methods are also taught to help overpower triggers that tell you to smoke.
