The Cowboys played the Aspen Skiers for the first time as new league opponents Friday evening. In a resounding 58-20 win the Cowboys came out strong and held the league for the full four quarters.
“We are definitely making huge improvements with each game,” commented assistant coach Ivy Coryell.
Ainsley Selle led with 16 points followed by Rylee Sullivan with 13, and both Ellie Hossack and Brea Garcia with 8.
The Cowboy/Panther foundation game Saturday, did not go the Cowboy way.
“We stayed close until the end, and then they were able to pull ahead,” said Coryell.
Sullivan led with 18 unofficial points as it is a foundation game and stats are not officially posted.
The team has a break until January 6, when both the boys and girls will take on Little Snake River in Baggs for their first games of 2023.
