The Cowboys then turned to their next games against the Rangely Panthers. Now a double header on Tuesday due to the postponement from weather, the Cowboys took a 2-1 lead by the second inning and were able to hold on to it through through the entire game when late in the game it stretched even further when Chintala hit a two run homer, making the final score 13-3.
Game two was a turn of events for the Cowboys when the Panthers came out swinging and took the lead early winning 14-3.
The split double header meant the Cowboys and Panthers were tied in the league for wins, but the win percentage and overall wins for the season is higher for the Panthers than the Cowboys, allowing them to be ranked higher in RPI as of press time
