RANGELY I Colorado Parks and Wildlife is inviting the public to come learn the fundamentals of shooting shotguns, .22s, and archery at the annual John Wangnild Memorial Shoot on Saturday, July 31 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Rangely Elks Trap Range. The range is located a half mile south of Rangely on the east side of County Road 23 (Dragon Trail). No registration is required for this free event and all ammo, targets, guns, and other equipment is being supplied by CPW.
“This is a great chance for those new to shooting sports to try out multiple disciplines while getting hands-on instruction from CPW employees,” said CPW Rangely District Wildlife Manager Terry Wygant.
This event is sponsored by CPW, Rangely Elks Club, Rangely Trash Service and WRBM Recreation & Park District.
