MEEKER I The first annual Park to Art 10K race was held on Saturday and included 20 participants.
Coming away with the overall win was 13 year-old Wyatt Mortenson of Craig, who posted a time of 45.54.
The Park to Art 10K Race, hosted by Eastern Rio Blanco Metropolitan (ERBM) Recreation & Park District, incorporated trail and road running through the Phillip & Dorcas Jensen Memorial Park trails and the city streets of Meeker to Ute Park. The finish, at Meekerpalooza, also gave runners a chance to visit the vendors, listen to the concerts and have a great afternoon at the event.
Participants received an event T-shirt, a drawstring backpack, free admission to Meekerpalooza, $10 in Chamber bucks to use at Meekerpalooza, and a finisher medal.
