RBC I The Daniels Fund announced that it awarded $62.8 million in grants and scholarships in 2015.
This included $46.5 million in grants to highly effective non-profit organizations throughout Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming, as well as to select national organizations.
Colorado communities are benefiting from $29.8 million in grants to outstanding non-profits throughout the state.
Also included in the total is $16.2 million in scholarships awarded across the four-state region through two distinct programs—the Daniels Scholarship Program, which provides college scholarships to deserving high school seniors, and the Boundless Opportunity Scholarship (BOS) program, which provides funding to participating colleges to offer scholarships to non-traditional students.
The Daniels Fund makes grants in eight funding areas as specified by its founder, Bill Daniels: Aging, Alcoholism & Substance Abuse, Amateur Sports, Disabilities, Early Childhood Education, Homeless & Disadvantaged, K-12 Education Reform and Youth Development.
The Daniels Fund also provides funding for Ethics & Integrity in Education through the Daniels Fund Ethics Initiative and other efforts.
