n Mr. and Mrs. Weaver Barrett honored at 50th wedding celebration. Mr. Barrett is a veteran of World War 1, and Mrs.Barrett is serving her 12th year as Rio Blanco County Superintendent of Schools.
n Mrs. Bernece Anderson attended the promotion and graduation exercises pf her son Raymond, now a warrant officer and graduate of the United States Army Aviation School, Department of Rotary Wing Training.

n It was a clean sweep for the Meeker Cowgirls at the Moffat County volleyball Tourney Saturday. Coach Marge Rohn’s squad went 5-0 on the day.

Kent Collins awarded CSU scholarship, A senior at CSU Studying Civil Engineering. Collins plans to get his Masters from CSU in Hydraulics that will enable him to have a job that will have a substantial impact on a better environment.
n The Panthers traveled over the road to Meeker last Friday for a scrimmage against the cowboys, a lot is ahead of the panthers as they hope to be successful this season.
n In Rangely, we should have a law that says, before you can have any input concerning the future of this area, you must first live here for 10 years. If area 10 can’t be taken care of properly, then why should 21 be any different?
