Boyd Walbridge left Thursday morning for Steamboat Springs to visit his parents there. He took Frank Sheridan along to drive his team.
Several wagon loads of fruit have come in from Grand River within the last week or two, but the quality is not what it was a year ago.
We understand that the town of Meeker will be defendant in a suit for damages at the coming term of the district court on account of injuries received from a defective sidewalk.

F.A. Brown of Strawberry, was in town Monday and reports all well up in that valley. Mr. Brown says the recent campaign against the Mormon crickets was considerable of a success, although there are still plenty left. Vast numbers of the pests were destroyed. He gave ten days of his time to the campaign, which will be resumed next spring.
Thunder and lightning and rain are now about everyday happenings in these parts.

Apparently the youths – we hypothesize it was the youths as most people have more sense and respect for public property – drove up the front of the high school lawn Sunday evening. The ground was wet from recent showers and the car really tore the grass up. The Sheriff’s Department is investigating but chances are slim of catching the culprits.
