On June 10, Rangely Elks Lodge No. 1907 received a donation from the Chevron Corp. for $6,500. Lodge Exalted Ruler Jeff LeBleu said that $5,000 would go toward Christmas food baskets and that the other $1,500 would be donated to Rangely Community Gardens. Community Gardens is a group of local children, adults and farmers who get together and grow a full arrangement of vegetables for the folks of Rangely to enjoy. They also teach the children how to garden, which has turned into a positive influence on the participants.
