Representatives from White River Electric Association, Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association, and Basin Electric Power Cooperative present a $25,000 donation to the White River Conservation District. The investment reflects a shared commitment to helping Rio Blanco County recover from the 2025 Lee and Elk Fires. The donation helped leverage an additional $100,000 in grant funding for the district’s three-year Diversion Infrastructure Improvement Assistance Program, which provides cost-share assistance to landowners repairing irrigation diversion infrastructure damaged by the fires and subsequent flooding. Since the fires, more than five landowners have already benefited from the program, strengthening local agriculture, restoring critical water infrastructure, and supporting the community’s long-term recovery.
