MEEKER I The Colorado Northwestern Community College campus in Meeker is offering a couple of early summer classes.
The digital photography workshop will run from 9 a.m. to noon starting Saturday, June 1 and continuing through Saturday, June 29. The class is being taught by Dale Hallebach at the Meeker CNCC Center, 345 Sixth St. The class description states, “Learn the art of photography from one of the area’s most talented professional photographers — a recipient of numerous awards who enjoys passing his love of camera work on to students. This class covers types of cameras, printers, printing, storage media and learning to work on computers to edit photographs. A field trip to Redstone may be planned. Cost is $100.
The other early summer class is Health and Wellness: Herbs for Health and Healing.
Students will learn the basics of helping themselves and their families deal with simple illnesses naturally. Topics will feature different herbs, their properties and how they can safely be used to assist the body’s immune system and what to do when dealing with diseases such as colds and flu, allergies, digestive health and stress.
The class starts June 6 and runs 6 to 8 p.m. through July 18, also at the Meeker CNCC Center, 345 Sixth St. To register or for more information, stop in at CNCC’s Meeker Center.
