Rangely senior Chad Bolding pitching for the Panthers and classmate Tobie Gasper, taking a big swing, played their final high school baseball game Saturday in Delta. The Panthers lost 14-9 to the Delores Bears in the district tournament. “We hit the ball real well; we just struggled in the fourth defensively and that was what the deciding factor was,” head coach Paul Fortunato said.
The Rangely Panthers baseball team (7-7) is currently on a seven game win streak with wins over Unitah, Rifle, a doubleheader against Meeker and win against Grand Valley.
Four Rangely High School Panther baseball players were honored by the Western Slope League for their play this season.
