MEEKER I The first in a series of free summer concerts sponsored by Eastern Rio Blanco Recreation and Park District will be Friday from 6 p.m. until dark on the courthouse lawn, 550 Main St.
The local band “One Time” will entertain concertgoers.
When asked to describe the band’s style of music, the response was, “We pride ourselves on playing an eclectic mix of music that we have termed ‘countrifunkified roots rock.’ We’ve been at it for over 10 years, traveling extensively throughout Colorado, Utah and Wyoming. We were fortunate enough to play several shows in New Orleans during Jazz Fest two years ago. We realize just how lucky we are to be able to play music with our best friends. We hope to continue playing together for years to come.”
Attendees need to bring their own seating.
As part of the ERBM Recreation and Park District’s Summer Entertainment Series kickoff Friday, the Rio Blanco County Farm Bureau Board invites the community to “A Taste of Rio Blanco” at 6 p.m. on the courthouse lawn. There will be tasty samples of meats prepared by local chefs for all to enjoy. Information on how to purchase locally grown produce and meats will also be available.
