MEEKER | Summer evenings on the Rio Blanco County Courthouse lawn are returning as Meekerpalooza brings live music, community gathering and downtown activity back to Meeker on Friday, June 12, from 4-8 p.m.
The evening’s featured act, Feeding Giants, brings a blend of country, Americana, folk and soft rock influences to the stage, providing the soundtrack for an evening centered around music and community connection. The western Colorado family band mixes original songs with recognizable covers and describes its sound as combining country warmth with Rocky Mountain soul.
Led by husband-and-wife duo Kevin and Aundrea Ware, Feeding Giants has performed throughout western Colorado at festivals, concert series and community events, building a following through harmony-driven performances and a wide-ranging catalog influenced by classic country, outlaw country, blues and classic rock.
Festivities begin at 4 p.m. on the courthouse lawn, where residents and visitors can gather downtown to enjoy live entertainment and connect with friends and neighbors during one of Meeker’s signature summer events.
The Meeker Arts & Cultural Council (MACC), which is currently working on its community theater production of “Finding Neverland,” will host a beer garden from 6-8:30 p.m., with proceeds benefiting the nonprofit organization.
As Meekerpalooza continues its summer tradition, organizers hope another season of music-filled evenings on the courthouse lawn will bring together residents of all ages for entertainment, community connection and time spent downtown.

For the first Meekerpalooza of the season this Friday, attendees will be treated to live music by Feeding Giants, who perform a blend of country, Americana, folk and soft rock.
