The Summer Festival, sponsored by Mountain Valley Bank, WREA and ERBM, at the end of August generated over $13,000 net profit by 17 different local fundraising groups, according to bank president Tawny Halandras.
The festival gives nonprofit organizations and fundraising groups an opportunity to raise money for their programs. More than 500 people attended and more than 600 nonperishable items were donated to the food bank.
Donations of services and goods from Overton Recycling, Meeker General Mercantile, Backcountry Outpost, and the Rio Blanco County Fairgrounds contribute to the event’s financial success. (Pictured) MVB team members.
