RBC I Residents are reminded to remain “on guard” with the use of fire during Red Flag warning periods. It’s very easy to become complacent when so many warnings are issued, but it’s an indicator of the atypical conditions we’ve witnessed so far this year. Most of western Colorado is expected to experience continued high winds, low relative humidity and very dry fuels. Fire danger is very high in Rio Blanco and Moffat counties while moderate in Routt, Jackson and Grand counties.
