The 97th annual Aksarben Stock Show took place at the end of September in Grand Island, Nebraska. It included more than 4,500 animals, kids from 14 different states and nine kids from Rio Blanco County. Jada Gould placed third overall in the 2024 Aksarben Pig Challenge Program. She was first in Market, tied for second in Record Book, and was third in Showmanship, all leading to the cumulative third place finish. The Pig Challenge began last February when Jada applied and was selected to participate in the program. She picked up her pig in May from Cain Super Sires and raised it, with the final show at Aksarben. She was scored on live placing, record book, showmanship, rate of gain, sponsor correspondence and an interview. Rio Blanco County was represented by Jada Gould, Klayton Carroll, Whitney Carroll, Trevor Gould, Charlie Rogers, Cienna Rogers, Teagan Smith, Brodee Kilduff and Makylee Kilduff.
