“This was our fourth year and what a year it was,” Kelsey Tate said via email. “Meeker Gymkhana has gotten bigger and better each summer drawing competitors from several surrounding communities some as far as Wyoming.” Meeker Gymkhana has six age divisions — lead line through adult — and each gymkhana has four events: barrels, poles, flags and a fourth event decided by drawing on the night of the gymkhana. “We hold six gymkhanas May through August and points are tallied all summer with the top five winners receiving their prizes after the conclusion of the sixth and final gymkhana,” Tate said. Planning is underway for 2023. Follow the Meeker Gymkhana Facebook page for updates and information.
