MEEKER | HopeWest is hosting a free Handling the Holidays grief group on Nov. 25 at 5:30 p.m. at 290 4th St. in Meeker. For people who are grieving, every day can be filled with reminders of their loved ones. But the feelings of loneliness or other emotions may be amplified by holiday events and activities that once involved your loved one. Thankfully, HopeWest grief support programs can help you manage these emotions and create a personal holiday plan to help you reduce stress during this season. It can be helpful to think ahead about ways to make the holidays easier for yourself by thinking of how important it is for you to slow down and listen to your own needs, especially after suffering a loss. HopeWest invites any adult experiencing grief to a free information session that provides ideas for self-care, new traditions and memorializing your loved one. For more information or to reserve your seat call 970-878-9383.
