A new sign in front of Rangely Town Hall includes the names of departments within the building and announces upcoming events in the community. Town Manager Peter Brixius said that the town council initiated the project, which was designed and installed by Bud’s Signs of Grand Junction. “With some of the changes to the front of town hall, they felt it was important to identify each of the entities that resides there,” Brixius said. “They want to help the community be engaged by announcing meetings and special events, and allow other entities to announce activities, too.” The sign cost $32,000 and was paid for through the town’s general fund, Brixius said. It has been something the council has been considering for a couple of years.
