MEEKER | There is a brown road sign south of Meeker along Highway 13. You will see the word “Petrolite,” a date, and an outline of a school building. The sign is near mile marker 29, just south of the “Hole-in-the-Wall.” It marks the site where the one room Petrolite School once offered education and entertainment to farmers and ranchers close by.
