Rio Blanco County native Diane Mobley was honored for her work with the Piceance Mustangs this last Saturday, Sept. 12 at a luncheon at the Meeker Cafe. Mobley was inducted into the Colorado Plateau Horseman Hall of Fame (CPHHOF) for her significant contribution to the equine industry in Western Colorado. The CPHHOF aims to educate the public about the equine industry and its importance and to provide information about the history of horses in the region. For her work, Mobley is one of two inductees this year. CPHHOF started in 2014 and this is the sixth year of inductees.
Mobley is also vice president for the Piceance Mustangs, which supports the management of the wild horses in Rio Blanco County. She has been very involved in the community debriefing first responders and formally being on the mounted search and rescue.
