Hunters offered private land hunts in GMU 23

MEEKER I Colorado Parks and Wildlife and the Collins Mountain Ranch in Meeker offer big-game hunters an opportunity to apply for a limited number of private property, elk and mule deer hunts this fall. There is no cost associated with the application.

Five hunts will be available to those who drew limited deer and elk licenses for Game Management Unit 23 during the 2016 big game hunting seasons.
Interested hunters must submit a written application by 5 p.m., Oct. 17, to:
Colorado Parks and Wildlife – Meeker Office,
Attn: Bailey Franklin/Collins Mountain Ranch Hunts,
PO Box 1181, Meeker, CO, 81641.

The application can be found at cpw.state.co.us/Documents/Hunting/BigGame/Collins-Mtn-Ranch-Public-Hunt-Application.pdf

The hunts are open to all eligible hunters; however, preference will be given to youth and military veterans.

The following hunts on the Collins Mountain Ranch will be available this year. Hunters should specify which of these opportunities they are interested and eligible to apply for in the application:
