RANGELY | Last weekend the Rangely Hurricanes traveled to Grand Junction for the 2019 Western Slope League Championships (WSL).

The Hurricanes had 11 swimmers at this meet where more than 300 athletes competed, representing 16 teams from the Western Slope. WSL is held at the Colorado Mesa University El Pomar Natatorium. This pool is 50 meters long, which makes it the largest pool the Hurricanes have swam in this summer.

As the first championship meet of the summer the Hurricanes performed exceptionally well. Time was dropped on almost every race swam and a lot of goals were met. “I could not be more proud of the hard work and dedication these athletes have shown this summer and the results at this championship meet,” said head coach Bethany Green.
