Husband of Meeker woman injured in Iraq

MEEKER — Staff Sargeant Daniel Saucedo was shot while serving his fourth tour in Iraq.
He is with the Bandit Troop of the 1/3 ACR. Saucedo is married to Deni Back of Meeker. They have a daughter, Sineca, 13 months. Deni is the daughter of George and Peggy Back of Meeker.
Saucedo is in serious condition in Germany. They are waiting until he is stable to return to the United States.
Daniel has served with the U.S. Army for eight years, and he is a scout. He and his platoon are the first to enter homes during raids. They are trained for special combat. His unit is always in the field and on new missions.
Daniel and Deni reside in Copperas Cove, Texas.
Peggy has gone to Texas to be with Deni and the baby in case Deni is sent to be with Daniel.
