(Top) Manny and 3-year-old Alexander Rodriguez of Rifle, Colorado, were the big winners at the third annual 4-H Jackpot Fishing Derby held on Septemberfest Sunday in Rangely to benefit 4-H. Young Alexander hauled in a 9.5 lb., 27.5 inch long channel catfish from Kenney Reservoir, good enough to win the longest and heaviest single fish division. The father and son team were also the heaviest stringer division winners weighing in 27 lbs. of fish for the 2021 derby.
(Bottom) Brian Fortunato slayed the smallmouth bass, winning a kayak for his 19 lb. heaviest bass stringer.
