MEEKER | Trappers Lake Lodge (TLL) will be opening for the 2023 season Thursday, June 1. But if you can’t make it up to the high country until the weekend, you are still in for a treat as they have something special planned the evening of June 17, to celebrate their opening weekend. Jeneve Mitchell is a very talented young lady, musician, songwriter, horse trainer and “Rocky Mountain Hillbilly Girl” as pronounced on her Facebook. She previously performed in Meeker at the Mountains and Mules event hosted by TLL this past December, but is also known for being a 2016 American Idol contestant when she was 15. Having personally seen her perform, this reporter can confirm that she puts on a captivating and inspired show that stays true to her Colorado roots and quirky personality.
Trappers will be serving burgers through their first week of being open, with a few new items joining the menu. And beginning June 10 they will be serving prime rib dinners every Saturday.
