Jessa Melhoff studies in South America

MEEKER — Former Meeker resident Jessa Mehlhoff was awarded a University of Arkansas Honors College scholarship for study at the IBMEC Business School in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, for the 2009 summer term.
phmkjessamehlhoffA total of eight undergraduate and graduate students from the university are currently immersed in the economic, business, political, and cultural environment in Rio de Janeiro, and learning about key issues in Brazilian/American economic and business relations. The students departed in mid-May and will return in mid-June. Their experience will include several days in Sao Paulo, which is a major hub for commerce and finance in Brazil.
Mehlhoff attended Meeker schools through grade school and middle school, graduated from high school in Tulsa and is currently a senior in the University of Arkansas, Walton College of Business honors program. She is majoring in marketing with a minor in finance.
